The Ladies Section of the Club is strong and active, with about
60members and is noted for the friendly and energetic approach to everything
undertaken. Playing Ladies at Workington all now enjoy full membership
of the Club, with full voting rights. Two Ladies are playing an active
part in the management of the Club as Directors on the Board.
Weekly competitions are staged every Tuesday, weather permitting. The
Course is reserved for the Ladies Section from 9.30 a.m. to 11.45 a.m
and then from 5.00 p.m to 5.45 p.m. Occasionally, there are competitions
at the week-end. Partners are usually drawn in the Singles Competitions,
so there is ample opportunity to get to know a lot of the other members
as the weeks go by.
The Ladies will welcome any new members of whatever standard. Junior
Girls in particular will be encouraged to take up the sport and will
be given tuition to improve their game. Any Lady wanting further information

Visitors are always welcome, especially those who play in our Open Competitions.
The Ladies Quarters have been largely refurbished with new Lockers,
Showers and a new Office. They are worthy of a visit on their own!
